A New Look
Yes, pink is often associated with little girls, but my decision to change the backdrop of the blog has little to do with that. I was recently reading the blog of a good friend of a good friend, whose daughter has a nasty brain tumor. We've been including young Rosalie in our thoughts and prayers and I periodically check her blog just to see how things are going for their family, with fingers crossed.
In any event, in scanning their entry, I cribbed most of this posting from their site. Apparently the mom read a book on distance healing where the healer always imagines cancer as a putrid green. So she traded in the green backdrop on their blog for these healing shades of pink and red, and I'm copying her (with attribution, so that's ok right?). Apparently red is known for eliminating cancers and helping circulation and blood flow - particularly important in Rosalie's (and Samantha's) case. In this view pink is the color of the heart, the color of joy. So there you have it. Done. Mission accomplished. Thanks Rosalie!
